Three beginner questions:

Near the top of the home screen: 

1.  I know what the "you've got x number e-mail messages" icon is near the Date/Time, but I don't know what the blue folder just like it is.  ??

2.  How do I access the item that represents?

3.  In all of the miscellaneous bits of paper & electronic documentation I received with my Curve, where does it tell me this?  (So I don't waste anyone's time with such simple things, again.)

are you talking about the "Bluetooth activated" logo ?

Also the instruction book it's horrible. Unless you work for RIM. I have found that this site is the best for information. Just use the search box for anything you need help with. Chances are it's here.

Hi

 I think this may be a notification of facebook mail. I couldn't get rid of the star and blue folder after clearing all my e-mail and messages - then I tried facebook, read the mail and the icon disappeared

Hi all,

I am still learning how to use this msg board so forgive me if this is being sent via the wrong format. 

I use a BB Curve - connected to Verizon, which I purchased in August.  I have spent over an hour carefully going back through BB 101, but am not quite all the way through it again.  I have never used Facebook (& don't have any interest), but I suppose that could be it.  I'm travelling a great deal in the next 5 days and won't get much time to even look at my BB so I may try that when things settle down.
