I have the BB 9360 for a week now, its all good but noticed that when i get a WhatsApp message the LED light will flash red (which i know is normal) however when i have read it the light will still be flashing red, this turns off automatically after around 4mins.

Just wondering if anyone else gets this as this does not happen with Emails, SMS and BBM's.

I got exactly the same problem, it has to do with the software of Whats app. 

Maybe we just need to wait for the updates of whats app.

After update,still the same problem.
Wish there were more BBM around, and less whatsapp...

Check message notification settings.

I'm facing the same issue on my Curve 9320, OS 7.1. I've downloaded the latest version of Whatsapp, i.e, 2.9.653. Anyone here with a solution?

This should not be. I just checked now...as soon as I read the new message the LED notification is turning off.

Try below -

When you device is POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery. This make a reboot to your device which resolves minor issues with the BlackBerry device.

Thanks Tanzim. I've done the battery removal and re-inserting process dozens of times now. I have also turned the LED off for all kinds of messages.

Also, this does not occur with every incoming message. Happens mostly when I get a message during a call.
