I am trying to use the GPS function on my blackberry 8320. when I try to activate it just keeps informing me "searching for Satalites". This is if I am indoors / outdoors / uk / central europe.
I have tried speaking to orange (service provider) but if it is not concerning giving them some £££ they cannot help.
What am I doing wrong? or what do I have to download etc ?
Best Regards to anyone who could help

I trust you mean an 8310, 8330, or 8350i since the 8320 doesn't have GPS!
See this chart for feature comparisons between 8300 series models.
Have you checked with your provider to find out if they disable it?

Thanks for the responses,
In the menu thou it does have some GPS options, am I correct in thinking that this is to link the blackberry with an external GPS system?, What are the uses for this? Why would I want to do it?
Are there any other options as having a mobile GPS system is very useful in my job?

I purchased a wee GPS receiver via Ebay for about £50. It clips onto my keyring in the car and connects to the BB by Bluetooth.
I then downloaded Amaze which is a free GPS program, and very good it is too.
SO now my BB is also a sat nav for a one off payment of £50!
