Wi-fi connection

okay so I have a Blackberry Curve 8520 and I've been having problems with the wifi for months now I first realised when the App World disappeared from the main menu. I can connect to the wifi but when I go onto the browser it comes up saying 'Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later'  or sometimes it says 'This is a wi-fi service, please ensure your devide has an active connection and try again' I've even tried the restore default settings option and it still does the same after I've set up the wi-fi again. 

If anyone could help I'd appreciate it

We had the same issue . we did a reboot By taking out the battery whilst the phone is still turned on , leave it out for a few mins then re insert and boot up and try again. this is actually the only way to rebbot the system and usually fixes most wifi/internet connection probs , it worked for me. hope it works for you.
