I got a blackberry world edtion for my job, and i notice the software on the phone is well out of date .. so i have tried all morning to update the phone and i keep getting to 265 of 283 and it stops ..

but like this for almost 2 hours now .. any advice ?

When you say 265 of 283, what are you referring to? Where exactly is the message showing up? Provide as much details as possible, giving step-by-step details to help others help you.

I plug the phone into the computer , open up the desktop manager software and it tells me i need to update my phone , so i hit next , next , next and then i get to the box that says tasks in progress - downloading device software and when you look at the progress bar is reads " downloaded modules 265 - 283 " and its been like that for a long time ..

i let it sit the other day while at lunch and for an hour it didnt move ..

any thoughts ?

How about downloading the software manually from this site and installing it on your computer?
