XP-SP2 RIM Composit Driver Hell; edit

I seem to have fallen into the USB Driver not installed run-around on my machine at home.

After taking forever to install, it failed to find the USB Driver.

There seems to be other posting with no easy solution. Is there a definitive FAQ?

On my machine at work, also XP-SP2 it installed the driver, but it crashed on the Media Application Install.

I was expecting to be able to upload and edit my e-mail/phone contact list on the PC and download it to the Blackberry.

But I do not see where or how to do it.

Thanks.  This is my first blackberry. Its an 8830 from Credo.

Welcome to the forums :smileyhappy:

I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the blackberry desktop manager (DTM). The version without media manager works a lot better in my experience since media manager tends to crash the software at times. Download Blackberry Desktop Manager over here: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22

Contacts can by synchronized using Outlook, Outlook Express, Lotus Notes, or an ASCII file. DTM is needed to sync the data.

Cheers,

Kijana
