about 48 hours ago my berry went into shock? It stopped receiving email, and the hourglass keeps spinning (once about every 10 seconds)...it is running my battery down within 4 hours.  I talked to my provider's techie...no help whatsoever.  He ended up deleting the one email account I rely on and now I can't get my blackberry to set it back up....

The point is, is anyone else having issues with the hourglass? and how was it solved?  It's killing my battery, making everything studderstep and my email has been destroyed....

Please tell me I'm not the only one.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Pull the battery while the device is ON, replace after a minute,

Let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is resolved

Thank you so much for your help, Bifocal.  At the end of the day, I went in to my provider who flat out replaced my phone because there was "something" corrupt...obviously they couldn't solve or identify it.

Mine did the same thing yesterday.  The provider advised to back up everything, completely wipe out the handheld which they did give me the instructions for, then go back and restore all the information.  Problem was solved!

I just wanted you to know that I had the exact same problem with the repeatedly "busy" hourglass and the battery draining.

I did your hard reset and it seems to have solved the problem for now.

Any particular reason this glitch would be caused - this is a brand new phone?
