app error 603 and uncaught exception java.null

Good day, i have been facing thiis challenge for a while now. i have done the hard reset, restore to factory settings and also security wipe, but the problem still persist.i noticed that when i am indorrs, my network starts fluctuating between gsm, edge and EDGE. The phone also goes off sometimes on its own,and while its off people call me and say it rings from their end but it doesnt ring on my own end. neither do i see any call records.

Please this issue is becoming frustrating given that i cant use my phone indoors , only outdoors.

Re: app error 603 and uncaught exception java.null

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Here is a KB that discusses that error:

  • KB29130 Receiving "app error 603" or "app error 523" after registration to the cellular network
  • KB23951 "Error 603", "App Error 603", or "JVM 603" appears on the BlackBerry smartphone

Hopefully it contains something useful! There also are multiple existing threads on this site that discuss that exact error...your review of those might prove useful, and a search of this site, using the error message, error code, or symptom, should reveal all applicable existing threads to you.

You might also wan to attempt to boot into Safe Mode:

  • KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode

It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.

But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.
