First of all, how old is your phone? If it's a newer phone, like maybe a year old or newer, then remove your battery while your phone is powered on then replace it.
Try this for a couple of days in a row and report back to us.
(However, if your phone is a couple of years old or older, keep in mind that a typical phone battery will last about that long.)

I have two friends whose blackberry curve 9300 OS6 batteries are not holding charge.
The battery indicator will get to about halfway with little help and then the phone blacks out.
The original USB cube that comes with the phone doesn't charge the battery and one of them has changed the battery and the charger and it hasn't helped.
Some one suggested reinstalling the OS - will this help?????

I will fully charge my phone but if I have it in my pocket or my bag it will die within 2 hours without it being used. If I'm using it it tends to have a longer life. The phone also gets incredibly hot.. Anyone have any ideas with what's up with my phone?
