bb curve not syncing with my dell desktop

i''ve installed the 4.3 verizon desktop mgr. software 2 wks ago and it worked great for a few days.now it wont work at ALL NOW! everytime i plug in the usb cable into my cpu "dell dimension e521" it pops up a error."usb device not regonized".i plug the phone into the cable it does nothing...if i leave it plugged in it will shut off the phone and restart it.what happened with it working and then it wont at all now! i''ve wasted alot of time trying to fix this. please help.....jim

Hi and Welcome to the forums!

First lets try a battery pull. Make sure the device is on, pull the battery and leave if out for at least thirty seconds,

replace. Let it fully reboot and try again.

 

You might want to download desktop software ver 4.5, it's the latest. You can get it at the top of the page under grey tab software.

Let me know if it works, or if you need more assistance.

i tried them both, still doesn't work.i seen somewhere on here something about a new usb cable.i wonder if that will work.if so where do u get it at?

Hi Beetle,

 

Try these USB drivers from RIM. I got them from the grey software tab on the top of the page:

Once this fixes your problem (hopefully) go to the same tab and download the latest Desktop software V 4.5

which usb update...they have french,dutch,ita,and esp! isnt esp spanish? whos gonna translate this stuff?why isnt there english, dang fools!

uggh!nothing is working!!! this is a dang joke! i spent 3 days trying to fix this.i've had it with this stupid bb software!
