i am unable to download maps for blackberry curve 9320

Welcome to the BB Community...

There should be a BB Map preinstalled in ur BB, but still if u would like to go for another map, u can install google map for BB...

but when i open the map its not showing and i wait for 30 to 45 min for loading of map but it doesn't show, that's why i thought map is not installed........ so kindly help me out from this problem

Hi,

Normally the BB Map dnt work in India...u must have seen that when u open the map, the world map is shown but u cnt get any place specially in India...

U better download google map, it works fine... go to m.google.com from ur BB and install it....

is that i can use google map for gps and navigation purpose

Hi,

You can use google map for navigation...normally gps dnt work when ur inside a building but it works fine when ur outside...when outside, and u open the google map, it will automatically will find out ur location and will show it in the map through a "blue dot "...now u can find ur way to any destination, search for place say ATM or any particular address...

You can see the blue dot moving as u move, that means it shows the almost appropriate position of u(say with a precision of 1-2 meters)...like if ur standing on the left side of a main road(wide road), u will see the "blue dot" on the left hand side of the road in the map too...

The BB map was not working on my phone after updating the software to 7.1.0.1647 (bb9790). Then I deleted it and try to download again and now it says it is not compatible with my phone. Please help
