blackberry messenger (BBM)

i have had bbm for years now but this morning all my messages would not send it came up with a red "x", so i turned my phone off and back on and there was still no joy,left it for abit and it wouldnt work,so i wiped my phone and set everything up again,it downloaded the bbm and when i rebooted it and clicked on the app it wont load. It still comes up with "setting up BBM" and a little clock however it wont move from this screen and has been like this for hours.

 

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME?
