blackberry stolen, how to get unlock code from blackberry support ?

Hi, I just had my 8310 curve stolen a few days ago, it was brand new. Fortunately, I still have my previous curve with me but it doesn't work because my mobile provider SFR is not the same anymore. I called them to ask for the unlock code but they told me Blackberry services take weeks before giving this code to my mobile provider SFR (parent of Vodafone for France). The problem is I can't wait that long because I receive all my professionnal orders on my Blackberry because I travel a lot and since I can't use it anymore, I already lost many orders. Could that be possible for Blackberry to speed up for providing me this code because I don't really trust SFR to call me back in many weeks to give it to me ? It is VERY important to me so please if anyone knows a phone number I can call, thanks in advance. Martin

Re: blackberry stolen, how to get unlock code from blackberry support ?

thanks for the advice , I know many shops in Paris to unlock it but it costs between 30 & 50 euros to do it , and I think it is scandalous to pay anything for a device I already paid to the mobile provider and Blackberry. It already costs hundreds to buy the device, why does it take so long to get a simple code ? I hate these kinds of sales behaviour...but thanks anyway !

Call your carrier Customer Service, be nice and ask if they can find the codes to unlocked the device, there are not another option.

Or for your carrier (i don't think so, but....) or paying to unlock the device.

salut Martin,
essaie de te renseigner auprès des forums des utilisateurs de SFR. http://forum.sfr.fr/
si ça ne pmarche pas, essaie de voir sur leur site web spécial Blackberry http://www.sfrentreprises.fr/

hi Martin,
try and get information on SFR users forum. http://forum.sfr.fr/
If it does not work you can also look on their Blackberry specific website. http://www.sfrentreprises.fr/

Re: blackberry stolen, how to get unlock code from blackberry support ?

thank you for your help, actually I contacted once again my mobile service provider and they told me I have to wait at least 3 weeks to get the unlock code from Blackberry. I think that answer a little bit weird but I you can do anything before for free, I'll take it, thanks !!! Regards
