Re: browser 7.1.0 not downloading file above 90mb

Hi hunny89

Downloading such files over our Mobile Network mostly depends how strong is your Carrier network or the downloading speed. you can try downloading the same files over wifi network to see if that error occurs.

In addition you can try this to see if that make any difference, On your Homescreen Open your Browser > Press the Menu key > Options > Scroll down to Clear Browsing Data ( Mark all fields ) Click on Clear Now . finally perform a battery pull restart by removing the battery while your device is Powered On wait a min. then re-insert it back.

But to achieve what you want you have to call your carrier to know if they are having any issues with there network.

Good luck.

Re: browser 7.1.0 not downloading file above 90mb

Thanks for the suggestion prince.. I've clrd al the cache etc.. Even spoke to the ntwrk prvdr but its not a problem from there side. Because my network is 100% fine earlier I was able to download a 100mb file in just 7mins but now not even 90mb just if I'm exceeding 60mb it is giving me an error message, one more thing now when I'm downloading anything it takes a min to start the downloading, previously nothing was like that and all this is happening in bb browser only. My uc browser is working fine from that I'm able to download the same file which is giving an error messaage while I'm trying to download it from my bb browser. May be there is an issue with the browser. Is it possible to reinstall it?? Because its not avail at tha app store.

Hi hunny

No you can't re-install Browser from BlackBerry World,Its not your Browser issue.

Whenever we face issues with our data service performing those steps may helps in resolving issues, you can try it in the same sequence :

1- Register your Handheld .

  • KB00510 : How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
  • Wait till a Registration messages comes in your message box.

2- Delete and  Resend your Service Book

  • KB05000 : Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
  • KB02830 : Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
  • ( Wait till a Registration Message comes in your message box for each email that you have configured on your device )

3-  Then perform a battery pull restart like this while the device is powered On remove your battery wait for a min. then reinsert it back

But as you are having problem with only  BlackBerry browser , so I must say again, there might be some issues with Carrier Network , you can asked them to know if they having any problem with BlS .

You can run a speed test on your BlackBerry browser  www.mobilespeedtest.com

Try it to see the results
