cannot reset blackberry app password.

Hi,

 

I was locked out of my account while trying to reset my password. I clicked the "forgot password" link, entered my secret question correctly.

I followed the link to reset my password that was emailed to me.

I then got a generic error saying there was a problem processing your request after trying to give it a new password. It didn't say that my new password was too short, or the confirmation didn't match or that my secret question was wrong. All it gave me was an error.

Hi northnr,

 

Try navigating to www.blackberry.com/blackberryid via PC and changing your password there or deleting and creating a new BlackBerry ID. Verify that you can login to your account via PC and then try logging in via App World.

Hi FrankieS

From your post you speak of deleting and starting again with BB app world login. How can I do that?

After I upgraded from Pearl to Bold BB world seems to have forgotten my login recovery password.

So I would like to start over.

Any help is appreciated as I really miss the BA app for flight check in etc.

Have you been able to login to www.blackberry.com/blackberryid via PC to download any App World applications? If you have the confirmation email you received when creating your BlackBerry ID, you can use this to delete the account and then create a new one.

I deleted it through Blackberry Desktop. Re-installed it via Appworld. Same problem.

Miraculously I did still have that email. I tried and all it gave me was the possibility of loading app world on to my connected device. Was the problem solved....no, as I had a repeated error when proceeding (perhaps it was looking for the old Pearl?)

 

Sorry, but any other suggestions?
