can some1 please help???

Just got my blackberry curve 8520 today and want to let my facebook friends know i was at home but the places icon, wasnt giving me a check in option, only showing where my friends where. can anyone help and let me know how i check in on the facebok app???

The 8520 does not have built-in GPS and therefore Facebook Places will not function.

Did you read the KB article I linked... it has some suggestions.

But I haven't seen an 8520 on which it works. It does work on the 8530 which does have GPS built in... so your friend who says it works, might actually have a 8530 model, and they are virtually alike on the outside.

Hi, yeah I got it working, something to do wif location settings. So far so good. Fingers crossed.

it doesnt matter if the phone has GPS or not on the curve 8520. On the twitter app the phone is still able to determine your location, its all about the software. update to 5.0 if you haven't already.

My 8520 on v5 doesn't work.
