I have four email addresses. Using the Blackberry BIS/VERIZON EDIT email account icon/tab, a couple of weeks ago I succeeded in changing the signature for my blackberry addresss.. But when I try to change the signature for the others, it looks like I succeed, but when I attempt to Save my changes,  I always get an error message that says there was an error validating my address. The phone does download messages to those accounts fine.  Is "user name" my blackberry user name for the other accounts,  or the username for that account at the other server?

Also, it doesn't seem to even want to let me change username to experiment....the line "user name" doesn't seem to permit editing.

On your VZW BIS account, delete those accounts, and add them back and make the edit then.

Although the above will work, it's a bit easier to simply delete and resend the service books associated with the problem email addresses.

First, on your BlackBerry, delete the service book(s) emailaddress@provider.com[CMIME] for each email address that's a problem. Go to Options --> Advanced Options --> Service Books, highlight the service book to be deleted, hit the [Menu] button and select Delete.

Now, either go to your Email Settings icon on your BlackBerry or log into your BIS account, go to Service Books, and click the [Send Sevice Books] button.

Once the service books have been updated, your signature settings should work correctly.

Thank you. Did try #1 at one point, but not delete service book. I'm uneasy, since I've receiving the emails fine on my BB from all accounts, and don't want to screw that up.  How is user name set on BIS? AND, what is BB/BIS looking for in its My Name field, user field, and password? My other Server's data in each field? Or are some of the fields to be filled in only with BB username and password?   Again, I'm gettting email from all accounts, but could change only the blackberry (verizon) settings (signature), but not my choiceonemail or gmail signature /user name fields on the Web.

To this point in time, I haven't altered anything on the BB device.....
