curve not loading after battery was put back in

hi i need some help,

i recently took the battery out of my phone and once i put it back in the phone came up with the blackberry logo and the load bar, it get stuch around 2/3 of the way threw the bar. i've tried taking out the battery and putting it back in again, leaving it out for long periods and leaving it to load for long periods. none of that has worked. I've tried looking online for someone with the same problem but i can't seem to find anything that has worked. i've tired holding the return button thing for the safe mode thats been suggested and that didn't even work.

im not sure what operating system the phone is either.

Can someone advise me what to do trying no to lose my contact but will have to if its a last resort.

thanks to anyone that can help me.

francinemb,

Welcome to the support forums.

Had you recently installed any applications or themes on the 8520?

You might try Safe Mode again and again, and then delete Spotify and see if that makes a difference.

Re: curve not loading after battery was put back in

i keep trying this and its still not going into safe mode, is there a possibility that my phone has an os less than 4.6 thats causing the problem?

There is no OS less than 4.6 for the 8520 model.

It was released initially with 4.6 and you can't have a lower OS installed.

What do you mean?

Re: curve not loading after battery was put back in

You will need to use BBSAK or JL_Cmder to wipe the device and subsequently load the OS to the device. Follow the instructions here:
http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/How_do_I_wipe_the_BlackBerry_using_Jl_Cmder%3F
For BBSAK, here is the link: http://bbsak.org/

You will lose all data, preferences, contacts, messages, calendar, pictures, etc., stored in the device memory.
