device switch

hi guys,i need your help on this issue. i just bought a new blackberry curve 9320 and i was told i have to switch my blackberry identification details from my old blackberry to my new one.this i accepted but anytime i tried accessing the bbm my dp changes to  the dp on the old blackberry and my contacts lost. please help me.thanks

Yea, I am trying to help you. First, I needed to understand what your abbreviation was :smileywink:

 

So, do you still have the same BlackberryID installed on the other device?

 

If so, you need to security wipe the old device, OR take it offline, remove any SIM card and remove any WiFi connection to it, turn it off.

 

Then, when you login to your new device with the BlackBerryID, it should recognize and import all your contacts, etc. and keep the BBM avatar picture.
