I have a blackberry curve

and as of friday none of my notifications for my email accounts or facebook have been showing up. Also I am having the hourglass on alot. 

I have yanked the battery and tried the sim card. no change really. My battery is also runing low very fast.

Hi...

There seems to be a lot of issues regarding the facebook app. Many users are reporting loss of memory similar to what your experiencing. If you have done the battery pull and this is the only 3rd party application you have, you may want to remove Facebook just to see your your symptom will go away...  I have not seen any way to prevent memory loss using this app. Perhaps someone else can chime in.

The only other item of interest is if you are not using a media card, and your taking pictures, it will take up your device memory. Remove the pictures and your memory issue should clear.

well i am having the same problem with the email notifications as well. I have gmail hooked up and it isnt even synching. If I check online it says i have 3 emails in my inbox my cell phone doesnt even have them showing at the moment.

then there is the hourglass and the battery dying.

All i have in my memory card is some songs and 2 pictures. I have had the phone for barely 2 weeks....

If you are having the constant hourglass....Backup you contacts only > wipe the device > restore contacts >

I have fixed several BB's like this. 

As far as your emails go...be sure you have the correct icons on your device, data and voice (1x & evdo on Verizons network).  Also, you can delete the email accounts from the device, reset phone, re-establish the accounts on the device.

Login to your Bis control panel and repush your service books. Have you installed the Google Sync?

I dont think I have the google sych I just hooked up the email in the email set up. and how do i back up my contacts ie phone numbers??

the phone keeps as well having the little arrows in the upper right hand conner like its trying to connect or something. >.> 

very fustrated..

Hi...

Just wondering if you addressed the facebook application mentioned in the first post?

You can backup your device using the Desktop Manager. You connect your device and go to Desktop Manager and Backup.

Once in Backup, you can create a complete backup. Once your device is backed up you can clear your address book and re-import it using the Desktop Manager. I would first concentrate on repushing your Google service books first. This should address your sync issue.

I havent fiqured out the face book issue.

deleteing and re adding my email didnt work. so far

the only google synch i find is for calender.... is there an email one?

Try sending a pin message to yourself (your own pin).  You should get it and this will show you are on the data network.  Your emails use the same network.

txt messages are working. my boyfreind sent me one earlier.
