email setup problems

hi all, looking for some help, any would be much appreciated.

 

i recently bought a curve from ebay, i have been trying to setup the email for ages and am tearing my hair out.

the phone was originally on vodafone, i have unlocked it and am using an o2 sim. the email is still registered to the previous owner. trying to set up new email it says there is already an account registered to the pin. i have called vodafone and they cannot cancel the account without the owners say.  i have tried email them and all the emails bounce straight back undeliverable.........

 

what can i do?

You might be stuck and need to get a refund on the ebay purchase IF Vodafone will not remove the PIN from the previous owners account.

 

I understand they do not have to do so, but often a carrier will do so when you tell them that you have purchased the device used.

 

If not, sorry--you are stuck, or at least the eBay seller should be.
