freeze, White Screen, needs restart - 9300 Curve

Hi there, I'm back!

I now have a 9300 Curve.

The last 4 or 5 days I've run into an irritating problem.

Country - South Africa
Carrier - Vodacom
OS - V6.0.0.668,Platforn 6.6.0.236

Extra apps (non standard)
- foursquare
- whatsapp
- weather trax
- photo notes

There are 87 notes saved on my phone, as I don't find a setting to save it on the memory card. The rest, photos, pictures, videos, music is all on the memory card.

As soon as I go onto Twitter, Facebook, read large email or just use BBM, the phone will often:
- Freeze up, immediately give a white screen, turn on the little red light (top right hand corner as if to start up) and then I have to remove the battery.

This happens upto 30 or 40 times a day.

How ever.
If I:
- exit Weathertrax,
- Log out of Facebook
- log out of foursquare
Or
- turn off all data,
The phone does not Freeze up.

The freezing happens with the memory card in or out of the phone.

Hey DeonTlotz,

 

I would suggest backing up and doing a clean reload of the BlackBerry® device software as shown here: http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11320. Please test before restoring any data to the device.

If this resolves the issue do a selective restore of essential data (Address Book, Calendar, Task, Memos, BBM contacts etc.)

If the issue still persists after the reload, further investigation might be required. To help further diagnose the cause, contact your wireless service provider or BlackBerry® Technical Support Services for further review and support.
