I purchased a bb curve 8520 about 12 months ago now and recently had problems with it. whilst on the phone last night i discovered that that though the keypad was lit up as usual, the screen was black. The screen will not turn on at all but i am still receiving messages indicated by the flashing red lights.. the phone still charges and flashes like normal but the screen is just black.. ive looked on the white tabs to check for water damage with no avail.. any ideas before i take it to a shop??

Have you recently Installed any Applications or theme or any game ? If you have then Start your device on Safe Mode and then Uninstall that application you had Installed or remove all 3 rd Party application which you think might be responsible .KB17877  How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode.
