Wow, I thinks I got it..at a friends house who has a bb too..installed their desktop disk onto their computer..and that worked..reconized my phone..and uninstalled the gps..then reinstalled it with the telenav icon on the bb phone...woohoo it works now..although slowly...

Try uninstalling and then installing Desktop Manager again. It is a very handy tool for backing up your phone data, adding/removing applications, updating your phone software and synchronizing calendar and contacts with outlook. Going to your friend's place to do this will get tiresome when you need to do stuff like this.

I had the same fault as MZ, and followed the process as described. It worked as stated, except I was unable to reload AT&T Navigator through my Desktop Manager. But, the Naviagator icon was still on my phone desktop. I reloaded it, and all is well now.
