How often your device trackpad freezes, Have you tried a Battery pull restart , Or have you recently installed any new application ?
If the problem started after installing any application that delete that particular application from Options > Device > Application Management > Delete any application that you think might be responsible for the issue . After deleteing perform a battery pull restart by removing the battery while your device is Powered On.
If above method fails then you can also try an OS reload , Or you have to visit your service provider to get your Device trackpad replaced.
