Hi!
When I first switched from Palm to BB and sync'd to my PC, I ended up with a custom notification exception that assigned specific ringtone to everyone in my entire Contacts address book. I didn't have to set this, it somehow was part of the setup and even my ringtone names were memorized as part of that first sync (even though I had to repurchase and reload the tones to the BB). I had to swap phones (got a defective one) and now can't figure out how to do this manually for entire group, insted of adding each of the 300+ contacts individually. I thought the exception I saw in previous phone was called "known caller" so I tried that but now everyone who calls gets that ringtone not just contacts so I'm doing something wrong. Any thoughts on how to do this? Thanks for any tips!

I didn't know you could do that...interesting. Have you tried to restore the "Profile" database from a previous backup. Restore database backup using this guide: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB10339

Thank you for the tip. Unfortunately I didn't back up the phone in the past, just used syncronization, so there are no restore files on my computer.

Search your computer for an .ipd file. Usually one is automatically created during software upgrades, otherwise you'll have to redo it manually. Or you could try doing the transfer from your old phone again...
