I have BB curve 8520 but I can't type in BB chat or facebook chat in Arabic language and I tried to solve this problem from setting but I didn't found the Arabic language in options. Thank you pls tell me how to solve this problem with using the net only .... Many thanks.

Hello There

Just follow these steps to install arabic language on your BB

1.       Go to BB website and download BB desktop manager and OS.

2.       Install both OS and BBDM (Blackberry Desktop Manager) on your PC

3.       Connect your BB with your PC and run the BBDM (Make shour you backup all your settings)

4.       now if you install version 5.1 then click on application loader infront of the screen. If you use 6.1 version then goto device tan and run application loader.

5.      Click next.

6.      Select the USB device from the drop downmenu and click next

7.      Wait for the loader to detect the applications on your BB

8.      Now in the languages just choose langauge and clikc install and the applications you want to install more

9.      Now reboot your BB and restore your settings.

Now check that you can chat with arabic or not

Need any help write with exact error and problem

Dear Ehsan,

I've followed the steps but at step no. 8, I couldn't proceed as there is no option for Arabic language in my 8520. FYI, my handheld was updated to the latest version. Hope anybody could help me about this.

Hi Hibah,

                   To add arabic language all you need to do is install a Multi-language OS pack from your Carrier and with the help of BlackBerry desktop software install it in your device.

1. BlackBerry desktop software 

2 . Your Carrier OS download site

To install it in your device have a look at this article of KB KB13067

Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums

As mentioned on previous post first you should have to download an OS pack from your carrier or any other having All Language or Multi -Language Pack and then Install on your PC or Laptop then delete those Vendor .Xml files .

After that use BlackBerry Desktop Software to install the desired language to your device 

---

1. Remove any previous OS pack from your PC or Laptop.

2.Download and Install on your PC any  OS pack having All Language or Multi- language pack from here Carriers

• ( Make sure you are downloading for the same device model )

3.. Download and install the latest BlackBerry desktop software from here BlackBerry desktop software

4.Search your C: drive for Vendor.xml and delete them, there may be one or two vendor.xml ( On your Pc change your folders option to show hidden files/folders ) :

•     C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
•     C:\Users\Windows UserName\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Once completed Open BlackBerry Desktop Software > Select Applications. > In the Language and Input Support section, select the language to be added to the BlackBerry smartphone (a + will appear next to the language to install) > Click Apply.
