internet links in emails not working (highlighting)

Up until just yesterday when I would scroll down through an email and someone had forwarded an internet http: link it would automatically highlight it and I could click on it to enter into the site.  Now when I scroll over it the link no longer highlights therefore I cannot click on it. Did I accidenatlly change a setting? I can't figure out how to get it back the way it was.

Good morning. Fist thing I'd try is to reset the device. To do that just remove the battery from the device for about a minute. Let the device reboot and try hyperlinks again.

Removing the battery does not solve the problem on my Bold 9700 - any idea ?
