Hi CarolineRose
So Sad ! Before performing any other steps please re check those setting which I suggested on post # 11. KB11328 :
Cause 3
The BlackBerry Internet Service account is configured to remove email messages from the BlackBerry smartphone when they are deleted from the messaging server.
Resolution 3a
Configure Microsoft Outlook to leave copies of email messages on the messaging server. For instructions, see KB12283.
Resolution 3b
Disable wireless email reconciliation for the affected email account by following the appropriate steps below:
For BlackBerry Internet Service accounts
To disable email reconciliation on the BlackBerry smartphone please refer to KB31202.
To disable email synchronization through the BlackBerry Internet Service account on a computer:
So please check those setting and see if that helps.

But I am not deleting mails from my lap top/ server, so it should not affect the BB? Also before things went wrong, was able to delete from laptop but keep on my phone!
Have perfomed a battery pull, then erased my email account, reset it, re registerd phone and did service book thing.
So far emails that have come in this evening have stayed.
If things continue to erase tomorrow will try what you suggest
thanks again!

No, it is still deleting emails, they are now only staying on my phone for minutes now, whereas before it was hours. The mails are still on my laptop though.
Do you think I need to get a new phone?

Hi CarolineRose
Before all first on your home screen , click Messages > Menu key > Options > Email Reconciliation > From the Message Services drop down, select the desired email account > Remove the check next to Wireless Reconcile > Click Menu key > then Save > Ok.
Please try it Then post back.

Well, all seems fine now! :-)
How come that last thing ( unchecking the wireless) seemed to sort it out?
Very happy now, so thank you again!
