lost data (phone numbers/appointments)

I update my software applications to the 4.5, Research in motion. Now I no longer have any phone numbers and/or appointments, it was suppose to backup on my desktop but I can not locate the backups. Any help?

Re: lost data (phone numbers/appointments)

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!

Search your entire hard drive for a file with an ipd extension (*.ipd). If you have one, then you can use it to restore from.

Good luck!

Re: lost data (phone numbers/appointments)

The ipd file can only be used with Desktop Manager. Open Desktop Manager and go to Backup and Restore>Restore

Browse to the ipd file and go through the steps. It should restore all the backed up information onto your phone.

Re: lost data (phone numbers/appointments)

I updated my device software, and lost all data. I was searching on how to fix this problem, and I read this. After which I followed the steps, and VIOLA! all data is restored.

Thank you. God Bless!
