Hello,

I am having 8530 with OS 5, i am selecting option delete email from handheld and mailbox but mails are still reflecting in mailbox, i tried every possible permutation and combination in email--->options--->email settings and email reconciliation. Pls help me.

Thanks Dear for valuable suggestions, i tried but not successful, but i have 2 emails for Yahoo its fine and for Gmail its not working.

Hi,

Login to your Google account open Gmail then on the right side of the screen click the settings icon (looks like a gear). Then select Forwarding and POP/IMAP  look at the following options:

When messages are accessed with POP

When I mark a message in IMAP as deleted:

When a message is marked as deleted and expunged from the last visible IMAP folder:

You don't want to leave a copy of the message in the inbox or let the Gmail server control when it's archived or deleted. That is how duplicate messages occur or messages that were deleted are re-read as new.
