Re: new curve 9360 battery

Update 7.1 isn't helpful. The thing is simple. No recall, cannot replace the 1000mah battery (no room) and sorry to let you down but appears that we're stuck with chargers all around. I remember once I've been told, beware of phones that come with an additional battery or a very slim charger :smileysad:(

Tried the 2G, off GPS, off WIFI, dimm the backlight, close apps, all the package. It becomes a stupid retarded phone with a bit more battery. In conclusion, never buy the "entry level" phones. They are "bleepy". The 8520 was better in battery life but it discomposed from regular usage. Waiting for the next upgrade and going for the more pricy ones (though I've heard about 9900 going brick and the 9790 is defined as a ladies phone).

Too bad that some companies get this marketing strategies to sell cheap and profit from the services. Got to learn something from Apple. Go with one good product, full support and you can rule the world. I am so into going fanboi, but too addicted to qwerty.

Re: new curve 9360 battery

I was getting the same problem..

Be sure to off your location and in your

mobile network select 2G and whenever you want to use 3G you can switch..

Keep the brightness level to 10%

I wanted to upgrade this to 7.1. My bb came with 7.0 OS if you guys know about it do let me know.. or if you guys know anything related to resolve the battery do reply the msg...   :Cool2:

Re: new curve 9360 battery

It's not ok to use this phone on 2G networg or brightness at 10%. I paid some money for 9360, and I want to use it on 3G (helps me on internet and I can navigate and talk in the same time, wich can not 2g network). Because BB is considered a business phone, I want to use it at maximum capacity.

I believe that short time until now, I will return to 9700 or 9780.

Re: new curve 9360 battery

Regarding the os7.1 upgrade, its been more than 2months since I updated to 7.1.

There wasnt much difference in the battery life, only a little improvement ,lasts 2-3 hours longer.

7.1 has a battery saving option which I keep it on at everytime.

So bottom line, a little improvement in battery life.

Moreover, theres an addition of FM radio and a hotspot browser,so thats a plus!

I would say ,go for 7.1,theres nothing to lose!

Re: new curve 9360 battery

Got the same problem. Ran a battery test and the file index service was running at 97%. Problem solved with lack of storage!

Re: new curve 9360 battery

What do you mean with " Problem solved with lack of storage!".
Did you delete files on the SD to free space?
