Have your IT guys delete the email address, resend service books, reregister the device and reset your email account.
You should then get an activation message in email. Hopefully this should resolve your problem.

Make sure the steps are in that order. If that doesn't fix it, make sure you have a backup from BEFORE this happened and have them reload the OS and your data.
