Hey,
I am from Germany. My Provider is o2. I don't have a BB-Plan included but I have an Internet-Plan.
I know I can't download the latest Facebook Version and I know that I can't use the BB App World because i don't have the BB-Plan.
So i tried to download Facebook 1.6 with my Computer. My Curve 8900 was plugged-in via USB. When I tried to download FB it said, "Unsupported Device" "Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Facebook."
Please help me to fix that problem!
Thanks

There's your sign! Must have the BlackBerry data plan.
A general internet plan won't cut it.

but it says on the blackberry homepage: "Access to Browsing Service. If you don't have access to Browsing Service, download Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones v1.6 "
Isn't the browsing service the BB-Plan? If not, what is the browsing service?

Yep, and even though it says that, I'm not guaranteeing it will work.

On your 8900, open your browser > press the Menu key > Options > Browser Configuration and scroll down to Browser Identification (or Emulation) and select "BlackBerry".
And SAVE.
Now go back to the URL stated and try again.

Hey,
is it like this:
Options-->Advanced Options-->Browser-->Browser configuration
because there i can't find the Option "Blackberry". I can only choose between WAP Browser and Hotspot Browser.
But thanks again for the effort ![]()
