Re: scrolling by itself!

The problem is the trackpad itself.

Get it replaced or have the carrier replace the handheld.

My fix was replacing the trackpad. But the phone is now completely dead, reverted to 8520 as my last BlackBerry and will be moving to iPhone next. so much for 2 month old BlackBerry.

Cheers BlackBerry. All the best to you in the future.

Re: scrolling by itself!

I hav a somewhat similar problem. My "E" key has gone bonkers! When I press it, it just doesn't bugde or it start to type many on its own, or many number twos till I stop it or it capitalises every letter "E" that shows up! I'm vry confused bcos it all happened so fast &in one sitting! This second I was typing perfectly &the next it just started all of a sudden! I have tried a reset but it still didnt work! Any suggestions? I can't afford to have a bad phone now!

Re: scrolling by itself!

This E key issue is not the first I have heard of.

Several customers and personal contacts have had this very problem.

Again, get the handheld replaced under warranty by the carrier.

Try restoring factory settings or upgrading your BB OS.

Re: scrolling by itself!

I'm experiencing the same problem with my blackberry style 9670 just keeps on scrolling upward its annoying can't text or type properly only when I keep the touchpad there! Since its only a month old I called up boost mobile which is my service provider and they're sending me a new device
