i am new to the bb i just bought an 8310 2 weeks ago .it came downloaded with the os 4.2 .should i upgrade the os and if i do do i lose any of info i already have on the phone ? an where do i find the latest os?i have att.thanks
There is no reason to update your device OS. It should only be done if your wanting a new feature only available in thenew version. Or if your having problems and all other troubleshooting has failed. Since the 8310 is a relatively new device it already has the latest features available.
When upgrading the OS there is the potential of losing all your data so make a backup first. When everything works properly all your data and applications are restored to the updated device. You can download the OS for AT&T devices from the BlackBerry website.
