I have seen several threads about how to separate text messages from email messages and understand how do to that, but my question is about how to seperate the sms messages and then to save them to a readable format on my computer.
I do not email but txt several people during the day and would like to keep their txt's in an organized folder. Is this possible? EX: I get a txt from Bob and a txt from Sally. I want to move all of Bob's txt's into a folder called "Bob" and all of Sally's txt's into a folder called "Sally". I do not want them in the SMS inbox anymore.
I also would like to move all the txts from the Bob folder to my desktop. The program from ABC costs and i wondered if there was a free version of a software that would do this.
Thank you for any help in advance.

Without a third party application, SMS messages can not be accessed other than on the device. Of course, you could copy and paste the text and email it to yourself, or you can get DexRex which archives all your SMS messages to an email address. I believe it's free.
