software update

someone please help ! 

my phone today did a software update which is fine so i left it alone and continued with that i was doing. i later left my room and while i was gone it happened to die during the software update turning off the signal also. i charged it back and it is stuck on the screen at 13% of the update and the signal is still set to off. it has been like this for the like 6 hours. i have pulled the battery plugged it into my computer but nothing is working, is there any way i can cancel the update to turn the signal back on or a way to finish the update without the signal on ?

It's stuck on either the smartcard or social feeds backup/restore.
