Re: text messages auto open

Which happens first... the red LED flashes first?

Or the SMS message opens first and then the red LED?

Or, does the red LED flash, and then to stop the LED light, you open your messages and that SMS message opens?

Re: text messages auto open

It beeps to say I have something coming through, the light flashes to say somethings ther but when u look nothing is on tge screen (no enevelope) and I have to find it myself. If I miss the beep (at work and on silent) or in my pocket so I don't see the flash (which stops after a while) I miss my messages altogether.

Re: text messages auto open

To stop the led (if I do catch it in time) I have to mark the message as unopened, then open it

Re: text messages auto open

Odd.  You could try doing a software reload to see if that will help:

please setup blackberry protect first (link in my signature) before proceeding!

This all makes sense to me. I have seen it happen.

Often, I get the SMS notification BEFORE the messages actually arrives on or is visible on my device.

So, you hear or see the LED blink to notify you of the message, and you look, and you actually are opening that message, making it read.

My advice, be a bit more patient and give it 10-15 seconds before looking. Or unset that notification so you don't look quite so quickly :smileywink:

Re: text messages auto open

This is weird right? Well I think you might have a third party. Just check again. Sometimes when you surf the internet accidently you might have downloaded something.
