Re: text messages

Bifocals,

file free is now 1'000'000 MB. Not 10'000'000 MB.

I think you can try two things : the soft reboot, and if it does not work, the hard reboot. Don't worry, you can't lose data with these two reboots.

Soft reboot :
1) Hit the three following keys at the same time :
- Alt
- Left Shift
- Delete
2) wait 2 minutes for the Blackberry to wake up.

Hard reboot :
1) your Blackberry device is on
2) remove the battery and wait for a minute
3) Put the battery back
4) wait 5 minutes for the device to wake up.

then tell us how much free file Now.

Then, I suggest that you go to this place :
home screen >> options >> status >> hit menu key >> Show databases

and copy here all the lines. So that we can tell you what to do next.

Re: text messages

Same problem,  the majority of the file space is in content store and RMS databases.

What all is saved to the content store? and how do I clear up the RMS database on an 8310 Curve?

Please use plain text.

Re: text messages

"content store" contains mainly your pictures. Move them on your memory card and configure your picture application to store pictures on your memory card.

"RMS database" contains all datas stored by applications (if you install facebook or Google Mail, datas are stored there. Your Brickbreaker high score is also stored there).

you can activate that in the options.

Home screen >> "Messages" application >> Menu >> Options >> Inbox settings

you get to a page, check the line "SMS And MMS".
