I have the BB Curve 9330, purchased thru Verizon 14 months ago. Everything seemed to work great til 2 months ago and my trackpad started "locking up" then the phone started doing the same thing. I would have to remove the battery before it would power down, afterwards it seemed to be OK. About a month ago the trackpad just stopped completely so now my phone is basically useless. Any ideas on what I should do or how this can be fixed?

If problem remains then you may have to replace your device Trackpad , you can contact your Carrier or any mobile repair shop to get it fixed, On amazon or ebay you can get those trackpad at a very nominal price.
