I'm experiencing the very same issues and the service desk at the store recommended the upgrade of software to OS 6.
I was having the trackpad problems before the upgrade. Upgrade helped for half a day and now, no matter how many time the battery comes out or I reboot... no joy with the trackpad.
Thinking the customer service people I saw know nothing... Any suggestions?
