upgrade device software

Upgraded device software could be installed on my computer but apparently something wrong with the Desktop Manager. It does not prompt for upgrading. once earlier I could upgrade through Desktop Manager but seems recently something has gone wrong with it. Can anyone help me?? Thanks a lot.

If you installed software from a different carrier you need to delete the vendor.xml file located at "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader"
