Hello, I'm trying to upload my contacts from a csv file to my BB. I've googled it and cant find a coherent solution. I've found answers but not ones I could understand/follow.
Please help!

Please follow the specific instructions at this Knowledge Base article:
Article ID: KB11194 How to import contacts from an already created CSV file to the BlackBerry smartphone
And if there is a part of that which you don't understand, please ask, and please be specific about which step you don't understand.
Good luck.

thanks a lot for this. it looks fairly straightforward.
i did the first few steps. am a bit concerned though:
-> Select One way sync to Device and then click Next.
if I do that will the contacts already within the phone stay intact? I thought I'd have a few dozen in there but I just scrolled thru and I have quite a bit.
I tried to make a workaround by doing the opposite of the above, i selected one way FROM device, and made a csv file on my desktop, hoping it would populate it. that didnt happen.
soo the question is, if i do a one way sync to the device, will the contacts already in there stay in tact? if not how do i make it so?

Yes, your existing contacts on the device will remain intact once you sync the new contacts on the CSV file to device.
But, you can always do the sync TO the device of the current contacts if you want, as a safety measure, first. Then do the sync TO the device of the additional contacts.
Good luck.

I assume you meant sync FROM the device for the first step? I tried that, didnt work. Said my contacts are set to sync wirelessly so this cant be done. I assume I can still sync TO the device, and was just making sure my contacts already on it wouldnt be wiped, but yes syncing from the device to the computer didnt happen.

I didn't see where you had posted that. Yes, you can, you need to go to Options > Device > Advanced > Service Books. Scroll through to the "[DESKTOP]Sync" entry, and delete it.
Now, do the sync FROM the device to the PC. After it is complete, go back to the same location and and UNdelete the same service book.
THEN, perform your sync TO the device.
Let me know if you have further questions.

Thanks, will do this tomorrow, just about to hit the sack!
In case you get this before tomorrow - I do actually want that setting on (the wireless sync one). So after I erase it is it simple enough to re-enable it?
Of course all this might be unnecessary if you're 100% sure that syncing TO the blackberry doesnt erase what's already on it.

Yes, the file will UNdelete as it remains in place while deleted, just not active.

wow this was a long time ago! unfortunately i havent done this yet. I was moving in those days so after re-setting up the computer guess I never got back to it.

I navigated to service books but didnt see desktop sync in there.

Maybe we need to start at the top again.
What is it you want to do?
