7100t

I do not have the software to transfer my 7100t address book to my PC and need to do so before upgrading to the Strom.  Any suggestions?

Re: 7100t

Download Desktop Manager from here:

https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22

Do a complete back, first.

When you get the new device (AND if you still have the old device) , use the Switch Device Wizard for best results, to transfer ALL data, settings, contacts, calendar, etc.

Otherwise, you can use Desktop Manager > Restore/Advanced to restore only that data (Address Book) you wish from the backup of the 7100.

Re: 7100t

Thanks for your prompt reply.  I was at the software site but couldn't figure out which version to download (the 7100t is not listed). Any ideas?

Re: 7100t

Download version 4.7 (since you will be using the Strom?).

I would recommend the version withOUT the Media Manager software.

Re: 7100t

Many thanks.  Managed to get it working in preparation for the impending Storm (er..Strom?).  Now to figure out where to find my BB address book on my PC.

Re: 7100t

It was a statement, but now after trying to figure out where the address book is stored and how to access it in order to edit the information, I do have a question.  Is it possible to access and edit the address book details on the PC?

Re: 7100t

Once you have synced the BB Address Book to the PC, using Desktop Manager > Sync, yes.

Most people use Outlook as the PC interface, and then sync the data back to the BB.

Re: 7100t

Thanks.  I just did a Backup/Restore and I didn't use the "sync" function.  Shall try again.
