Adobe pdf. file attachments not opening - solutions please?

Hi, I receive a lot of attachments on email that are Adobe pdf. files.   My BB Bold says that it does not have the software to open such an attachment.   Can anyone point me to and Adobe Reader for BB or show me how to activate it if it is already on board.   Thanks !

Re: Adobe pdf. file attachments not opening - solutions please?

how are you trying to read the PDF ?
from the email? "open attachment" ?
do you have that option ?

can you open other attachments like DOC or XLS or JPG ?

can you save the file to your device, then use BeamReader to read it ?

you can read the following article from the knowledge base :
http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB10172
Unable to open attachments on the BlackBerry smartphone

is your device connected to BES ? If so, ask your IT admin.

thnx for the info - i am on an enterprise server and my .pdfs were not recognized although the link you sent me to lists .pdf as being supported. .  I downloaded trial version of Dataviz Docs to Go which gives you a free .pdf viewer.  It is terrible.   Will try for a better one.   Cant believe that one cant open .pdf files these days in full page mode on a BB.

Beam Reader is very efficient for reading PDF files.
