Blackberry Desktop Software has stopped working

For the past week and one half, whenever I try to open the Blackberry Desktop Software or whenever I connect my Blackberry Tour 9630 I get the following message:

 

"Blackberry Desktop Software has stopped working

 

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.

Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

 

[Close Program]"

 

I have tried to re-install the Blackberry Desktop Software, but that has not helped.

Does anyone have any ideas?

This is happening to me as well with my Bold 9780 - I have uninstalled and re-installed Desktop manager a few times and it automatically shuts down each time I connect my phone.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

So far I have found no solution for this problem.  I hope someone else has some ideas.
