Blackberry desktop software 7.1 not working

Hi, I am facing problems with desktop software 7.1. It is crashing again and again despite repeated installations. I am using Windows Vista Home Premium (32 Bit).  Following are the details:

did you try any other OS other than vista ?? cause vista always have stupid errors??

Well I did not as I only have this vista on my laptop moreover, it was working fine earlier probably the older version n after the update it stopped working somehow. I have tried number of times to install and uninstall and reinstall with even deactivating my antivirus and user controls and ran as adminisitrator also but to no good.

vista is always an issue with a lot of softwarez installed I removed it cause of this problem, not only the desktop manager but a lot of softwarez. I recommend that you install another OS on your laptop

Hmmmm thanx Waelgasar but I was expecting some resolution to the problem I mean I am not a very technical person so any advises to solve this particular issue other than that of either reinstalling the Vista or changing the OS altogether. Since bb desktop software was working earlier and its only after the last update that this issue came out. Thnx

my bb desktop manger not working, have to keep reinstalling it for it to come up... using windows 7 os

I suggest this thread:

It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.
