Calendar Sync problem; Error Message

I recently bought a new PC and upgraded to office 2007 and have problems syncing my calendar to Outlook. Contacts sync but process stops at calendar syncing, no entries make it from my torch to the PC and following error message appears:

"CRTranRec:GetLinkedRecordID:Invalid linked record Id"

I have followed other posts and deleted superfluous CICAL calendars (did not delete the CMIME entries though, should I have?) and both my blackberry and outlook are linked to the same email address.

I can still sync to Outlook 2003 on my old laptop. The fear of these kinds of problems (now realized) have kept me from upgrading for a long, long time.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Re: Calendar Sync problem; Error Message

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

There are several KBs that discuss similar errors, sadly none with any kind of resolution. Therefore, I suggest this thread:

It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.

Good luck!
