Desktop Manager is downgrading/ removing my Yahoo Messenger

Hi, I upgraded my Yahoo Messenger to version 2.5.27, however my Desktop Manager wants to downgrade/ uninstall it. I am running OS version 4.7.0.148 (Plat 4.0.0.181) on a Verizon Storm 9530.  I am using Desktop Manager version 4.7.  Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

Re: Desktop Manager is downgrading/ removing my Yahoo Messenger

Hi, i have the same problem. I already installed BB messenger from the web and now i am using Desktop Manager 5.0.1 to install othe apps. The messenger that prob. came with this desktop manager is old so it tried to downgrade it. I checked and there is no newer version of desktop manager there. What to do ?

Re: Desktop Manager is downgrading/ removing my Yahoo Messenger

Hello,

Not sure if this is specific, but I know that my DTM continually states that it will remove an older version of BBM from my BB every time I tether and update. But, since I've updated (outside of DTM) to the more recent version, DTM has no effect on what I have for BBM on my BB. Perhaps the same is true for you? Give it some tries and see what happens, I'd suggest.

Good luck and let us know!
